The TA iQ Junior is a front wheel drive powerchair that has all the functionality and safety of the TA iQ but with smaller seating accessories designed to adjust and grow in width (from 10"-14"/25cm-35cm) with the user. The power base also will accommodate a larger seat plate (12"-22"/30cm-55cm) if required.
Highly manoeuvrable - in tight spaces
A short wheelbase of 82cm and a width of 58cm combined with a turning radius of 65cm allows you to drive or reverse the TA iQ Junior into more confined spaces.
The lack of front casters allow the TA iQ Junior to get closer to tables, sinks and cupboards, as well as creating more space to self transfer.
Highly functional - around school & home
A minimum seat plate height of 15"/38cm means the TA iQ Junior will fit under most tables and desks. A 30cm lift (to 68cm) allows improved communication as well as making it easier to reach higher benches at school, home, bathrooms or out & about.
Superior performance outdoors
The large front drive wheel allows the iQ Junior to climb larger obstacles smoother and easier.
On a full charge it has a range of 40km in distance.
Active suspension - improved comfort and ride
The suspension is very flexible and combined with pneumatic wheels it has two major advantages:
- Smoother ride comfort.
- Improved climbing over bumps and obstacles, reducing unwanted jolts.
TA 100% safer in a vehicle
A child can remain safely seated in a TA Junior when in a vehicle. Its design and construction complies with
NZ LVVTA 45-60(02) and international ISO 7176-19 crash test standards. No need like some other chairs to transfer to a vehicle passenger seat for safety.
