It has enabled me to be an active member of society
I have been a wheelchair user for the past 40 years and previous power wheelchairs didn’t offer much change in the level of independence they gave me. Then in 2015, I was introduced to the TAiQ MWD. This PWC gives me more options like seating, posture and comfort for work and recreational use.
Over the past 8 years, it has provided me with a certain level of independence, and it has allowed me to be an active member of society and be more independent at home.
None of the other PWCs I previously used had the capacity to go as low or high as the TAiQ which makes it user-friendly when working from home, the office or when visiting community venues, bars, cafes or restaurants. It enables me to reach for items on high shelves and/or talk with people at face level and/or watch people on stage if others are standing in front of me.
The TAiQ maneuvers easily through the doorways in our home and turns easily in tight spaces like the bathroom and in our vehicle.
I’ve always had positive experiences with the service received from Morton & Perry as the reps are fully acquainted with its product and work with the client to ensure the TAiQ PWC works for us. It has always been my preference to work alongside the dealers not independently of them.
I’d recommend this product to anyone who has similar needs to me

The improved comfort and smooth ride was noticeable immediately
I was allocated a chair from the Ministry of Health equipment pool from another supplier. It had very poor suspension and frequently left me stranded on the side of the road when going over a gutter and the wheels jam together – thus putting me in a dangerous position and reliant on pedestrians to pull me out. So my anxiety level was always high whenever I needed to cross a road. I had little confidence in it. There were many footpaths that I had to avoid. This chair did not meet my needs and my Occupational Therapist did/could not offer me an alternative.
- In May 2013 I purchased a TAiQ MWD powerchair.
- The improved comfort and smooth ride was noticeable immediately. It gives the impression that it has a lot more power.
- It far exceeds the performance of the above in every respect. I am not restricted anymore by footpaths and gutters
- It is more comfortable and safer. I have complete confidence in it and have no anxiety any more.
- I have done 1300km(in 26 months).
- The support and service from Morton & Perry is excellent.

I am able to get things of the higher shelves with the aid of the lift
Last year i received a new wheelchair supplied by Morton and Perry. It is a model TaiQ MWD. I get around everywhere in it. The chair is quite a talking point at the supermarket. I am able to get things of the higher shelves with the aid of the lift and people stop and ask about it.
Recently, I had a bad accident and now i use it a lot more around the house. I have found that i can do a whole lot more in the house while sitting in the chair than i thought i could. This includes cooking, making coffee, washing dishes and wiping the benches. It takes some innovated thinking, but it can be done. It is a great little wheelchair. Thank you Morton and Perry.

It’s the most comfortable chair I have ever had!
For the past 4 years the TAiQ electric wheelchair has been extremely reliable. It’s long lasting battery gives me the confidence to engage on long trips. I haven’t had a battery replacement in the 4 years I had it. The chair gets me independently on the train at Avondale and navigates me with easy through Auckland city. I spend the whole day in my chair from 9am – 8pm (11hours) and it’s the most comfortable chair I have ever had. It’s the best chair by far.

I can even drive up and down standard curbs!
As a long time power wheelchair user living in the city I changed to a TA Mid Wheel Drive in 2015. As at 30 October 2018 I’ve completed 4330 KM’s in my chair.
My TA has given me huge confidence to travel around – with it’s stability and the way it handles different terrains and steep paths. I can even drive up and down standard curbs! The top speed is excellent for moving fast for safety, such as, getting across the road or getting out of the way of cars. This has saved me many times in the busy central city that’s for sure.
The experiences I had with my old power wheelchair prior to my current TA were terrible. What a difference it makes dealing with Morton and Perry. The invaluable knowledge the service team has means maintenance is done easily and efficiently. I can’t speak highly enough about the continuing assistance and positive attitude of all the Morton and Perry people.
The TA power wheel chair has improved my quality of life. Giving me independence to travel almost anywhere whilst remaining comfortable and safe.

This is my first power wheel chair. MUCH better than my scooter
This is my first power wheel chair. MUCH better than my scooter. It is smaller and has a tiny pivot spot – great for turning around in tight places. This chair is my life. It gets me from A to B. This chair is my legs. It means I can do things without pain or getting tired. I can sit under most tables and use the up-and-down and tilt function to adjust my seat hight.
The suspension is very good. The odd jolt but overall very comfortable. I like the great air tyres which help me with pain prevention.
Morton & Perry offer great customisation options; I chose a cupholder, leather satchel, bag carrier and I love my Vicair cushion and my side mirror makes me safer. In addition, they customised the chair in my favourite colour purple.
It’s great how I can do everyday things like put the rubbish out.
It’s such a great chair. I recommended it to a mate and he got the same chair. He loves his chair too.
