Based in Christchurch, and regularly in each of the Southern regions Ian is our direct link to assisting South Islanders. Clients & therapists across the South Island are welcome to make contact and enquire about Morton & Perry’s healthcare equipment solutions – seeking the possible.

“With a number of years involvement in utilising healthcare equipment, my aim is to provide high standards of service and to collaborate with others. I’ve worked with Aged Care providers, DHB Teams and for many people in the wider community.  The excitement going forward is to continue learning more about people, using the ever-improving equipment that exists and assisting with people’s journeys.

Morton & Perry is a versatile, enthusiastic and progressive co, which I’ve really enjoyed being part of and bringing that special capability to South Islanders.

With a busy wife, fast growing teenagers and a desire to be “out on the water” or out seeing the world – there’s often time pressure, but no better time than now, to be out trying to do good.

“Mum was right… she told me to go for it when I said at age ten that I wanted to be a Physiotherapist.

Otago trained and really privileged to have worked in many counties and many areas of Physiotherapy, it’s been a such a good choice for me. I feel like I’ve had many mini careers under the Physio banner.  Community PT, Rotational, MSK, Admission avoidance, Manual handling coordinator, Wheelchair and Posture therapist… the list really does go on. While in the UK I completed the post graduate qualification of “Complex postural assessment”. I officially became a wheelchair and posture geek at that point.

Of late I’ve been applying my skills and experience as a clinical rep for Morton & Perry. I love it. It’s the getting stuck in and helping that really has me love my current role. I get a buzz out of having solutions for people and therapists. I do my best to get things spot on for the clients, therapists and funders we work with.”

“It seems like only yesterday Morton & Perry began, now it’s 20 years plus. Yes, I have turned grey, but it has been a lot of fun and many challenges along the way, but I wouldn’t swap it for the world. What gives me the buzz every day is seeing how we can significantly improve, and change people’s lives with improved technology solutions. And how our team are also so passionate in assisting our clients day to day. Then of course they are far more skilled than me. Then with downtime it is coping with teenagers and chasing fish in the Hauraki Gulf.”

‘I have been with Morton and Perry for nearly 8 years, I started off doing Warehouse duties and building chairs, I am now the Technical and Service Manager and my day to day function is the setup and custom modification of Powerchairs, I love finding solutions to help the client get better mobility.

In the time I have been with Morton and Perry I have visited the TA Service Factory in Denmark twice so there is not much I do not know about the TA Powerchair range, I love the face-to-face contact with clients and Therapists and finding mobility solutions.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my 2 young boys who keep me busy, every Christmas Holiday we look forward to camping at the same spot in the far North we call it “Our Happy Place” Sunshine and no cell phone coverage what else can you ask for!!’
