Adjustable Backrest with Vicair Technology Cushion
This Armadillo adjustable backrest features a three-section modular shell. Designed to fit the unique contour of the user’s spine and to accommodate users with: Kyphosis, Lordosis, Scoliosis, rotational asymmetry and other spinal deformities. For ultimate pressure care Nxt teamed up with Vicair to combine the Armadillo with a Vicair back cushion consisting of multiple pockets containing SmartCells. The pockets AirCell content can be adjusted to suit the shape of the back. The central recessed pockets are designed for offloading spine pressure zones.

Vicair Airfilled SmartCells
Smartcells are air-filled Tetrahedron-shaped cells. Hundreds of SmartCells are found in each Vicair cushion, resulting in perfect pressure redistribution and stability. For personalisation, cells can be added and removed.
Quickly and Easily Adjusted
The backrest is quickly and easily adjusted, even with the client in the chair. The seat depth can be increased by reversing the brackets. Clamps can be installed or removed without dismantling them.
Independent Angle Adjusment
Other customization possibilities include; The top shell has a 20° posterior and a 40° anterior angle. The bottom shell has a 30° posterior and 30° anterior adjustability. The backrest can even rotate to accommodate an asymmetrical position.
Optimal Positioning
The shell’s scapular shape offers support to the spinal column while still allowing for shoulder mobility. The Pelvic cutout enables appropriate pelvic posture and PSIS assistance.
