Bariatric Independence Chair
The Vela Tango is a unique indoor mobility chair that creates independence for anybody with reduced lower limb mobility. The VELA Tango 310E independence chair is walkable and offers stability, with a central brake that can be extended for easier reach. It is very robust and can be used for activities at home or at work.

Electric seat lift
The electric lift feature allows for a 15cm lift for a greater reach, to sit higher by counter tops, or assist to stand. The lift is operated from a button positioned under either the left or right armrest.
Central Safety Brake
It is safe to get up and sit down, knowing the chair can’t move due to the central brake and being supported by sturdy armrests. The central brake can be installed on either the left or right-hand side. Together with the non-rotating frame it offers a stable sitting position in daily activities or with transfers.
Comfortable seating
Feel supported in a stable and comfortable sitting position provided by a larger seat and backrest. With an upright sitting position the user can breathe more easily and increase oxygenation of the blood.
Suitable for up to 300kg users
It is possible to push/walk the chair around while sitting and be more self-reliant in various activities, e.g. cooking, and thereby prevent immobility. Legs, knees, and hips are also relieved by performing the activity while sitting, which results in less muscle/joint pain and less fatigue.

“I have been using this chair in an office setting since early 2020. The difference this chair has made to me is between continuing to work or having to leave my job. That to me is a big deal, as it is hard enough to find employment when you have a disability. Prior to having this chair my legs and feet were extremely tired and sore by the end of the day and then very restless at night making it hard to sleep. The ability for the chair to lower right down to nearly the floor, has been very helpful to get to the bottom draws of the filing cabinets etc.
I no longer have to ask someone for help all the time. Being as independent as possible is a big plus.”

My wonderful kitchen help. The Vela Chair!
I have multiple sclerosis which has caused me the need to use a Vela Activity Chair in my kitchen. I met Ian Wylie (M&P Acccount Manager) the day he brought my Vela Chair. Such a great knowledgeable man who showed me all the functions of the chair. It really surprised me on how easy it is to use. It tilts me towards towards my bench, will go up and down, swivel around and has a break to safely stop and keep the chair in place. I couldn’t be happier with my wonderful kitchen help the Vela chair!

The Vela Tango chairs makes daily life easier
Claus has lived with cerebral palsy all his life. The paralysis is mainly evident on the left side of his body. A few years ago, Claus suffered a fracture in the lumbar area when he had a fall. To keep active after his fall, Claus has been given a VELA Tango Electric (El) Sit-stand Chair with a shallow seat and electric adjustment of the sitting height. The electric adjustment of the sitting height is essential for Claus, e.g. when he has to stand, since he has stiff hips.
T-Grip for brake handle
People with pains and reduced joint mobility may benefit from the T-grip. It reduces twists in the body and back, when using the brake on the chair. To increase the height, a brake extender is also available.
